In order to promote the effective protection and reasonable utilization of agricultural land, this paper
analyzed the spatial difference of county agricultural land economic density in Guangdong province from 1996 to 2011
using exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) and GIS technology. The results showed that, agricultural land economic
density steadily improved, but the absolute difference increased constantly while relative difference narrowed fluctuantly.
County agricultural land economic density had a positive spatial autocorrelation, and the overall spatial disparities tended
to decrease. High density areas concentrated in the Pearl River Delta plain, western Guangdong coastal district and eastern
Guangdong coastal district, and low density areas were concentrated in mountainous area of northern Guangdong province.
The local spatial clustering pattern of county agricultural land economic density in Guangdong province was significant, and
the trend of local spatial discrepancies was to expand. To manage agricultural land more effectively, it is better to improve
the regional management policies according to differences of agricultural land economic density and socio -economic
features. |
