Abstract:
To explore the response of maize root growth to the yellow river sediment filling, the study used the method of indoor simulation experiment with PVC, set seven different groups with three parallel samples in each group. By testing and analyzing root length, root volume、root activity and superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT) activity of different groups, this peyzer studied the root growth of maize seeding in different soil thickness. The result showed that, with the increase of soil thickness, root volume, root activity significantly increased, SOD, POD significantly decreased, root length and CAT showed an increasing trend in overall activity, with not-significant. Through significant analysis of each indicator, the best soil thickness fit for the growth of maize root seedling is 60~70 cm, which provides reference for the optimization of soil thickness by the Yellow river sediment filling.
