Abstract:
Intercropping is an important means of the pest integrated control techniques. In this study, occurrence trend of Hypomeces squamosus population and spatial distribution were investigated in sugarcane-soybean intercropping 1: 1 mode. The results showed that, the peak period of H. squamosus occurred in sugarcane was beginning and middle third of a month in May. In soybean, the peak period was May and June. The number of H. squamosus in soybean monoculture or intercropping was significantly higher than that in sugarcane. The number of H. squamosus in sugarcane monoculture was significantly higher than that in intercropping. The number of Hypomeces squamosus in soybean monoculture was significantly lower than that in intercropping; The spatial distribution patterns of H. squamosus belonged to aggregating distribution, and intensity increased with the density of H. squamosus. The feeding preference showed that, both of the H. squamosus male and female were more like to eat soybean very significant, and the female eaten more than male when they eaten the same kind of host plant.
