In this study, the parameters of flavonol synthase from 19 plants, including physicochemical properties, functional domains, hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity, secondary structure, signal peptide, transmembrane regions, wereanalyzed and predicted by using bioinformatics methods and software, and the phylogenetic tree of FLS was constructed. The results revealed that the ORF of FLS genes contained about 1 000 nucleic acids and encoded approximate 330 amino acids, and the coding proteins were hydrophilic and acid protein with none signal peptide, transit peptide and trnasmembrane region. A flavonol synthase functional domain was detected in the amino acid sequences, and 琢-helix and random coil were the dominant motifs in their secondary structure. In the phylogenetic tree, 19 FLSs mainly clustered into three groups, and the ones sourced from the same family were firstly assembled together. The phylogenetic analysis illustrated the evolutionary relationship among the flavonol synthase from 19 plants. |
