Based on the establishment of a national forest carbon monitoring and measuring system, the combined methods of field investigation, sampling and laboratory analysis were used to analyze the soil organic carbon storage and carbon sequestration of 4 main forest types in Jiangxi province. The results showed that, soil organic carbon contents and densities of 4 main forest types showed a similar pattern, and the order was broad-leaved forest> fir forest> mixed forest> pine forest. The average forest soil organic carbon density, 15.69 (依10.28) kg/m2, was lower than that of our country爷s average level which was 19.36 kg/m2. And the broad-leaved forest had the biggest soil organic carbon density, being 1.2~ 1.8 times of the other 3 forest types. The soil organic carbon densities, contents and the variations f 4 main forest types decreased with the soil depth, showing soil organic carbon density in 0~30 cm accounting for about 50% of the whole section, 0~10 cm soil layer depth of soil organic carbon content being 1.7~2.3 times of 10~30 cm soil layer and 3~4 timesof 30~100 cm soil layer. Forest soil carbon storage accounted 73.72%~79.08% of the forest ecological system, and had an important status and role. |
