In order to research the influence of different dosage of water retaining agent on drought resistance in sugarcane, simulated drought manner was used. At the same time, the soil moisture conditions which water retaining agent could play the role were studied. Potted simulation experiments showed that increased by 20.49%-50.82% by appling water retaining agent to the soil. It provided water for sugarcane under drought conditions and reduce the drought stress. Water retaining agent could increase the relative water content and chlorophyll content in sugarcane under water control conditions, at the same time, reduced the amount of permeability of plasma membrane, SOD activity, MDA and Proline contents. It was better to apply 3.0 kg per 667 m2 of water retaining agent. Water retaining agent can retard evaporation, keep the soil environment moist to achieve the effect of drought resistance. But water retaining agent isn爷t supply agent, we must take other drought measures when soil moisture is below 6%. Key words: sugarcane; water retention agent; physiological index; |
