Abstract:
The study is to understand the effects of metabolites of roxarsone (ROX) on the bacterial community diversity. The results showed that there was weak negative correlation between As (Ⅴ) and Shannon index of bacteria, weak positive correlation between DMA and Shannon index of bacteria, no significant correlation between As (Ⅲ) and Shannon index of bacteria. Similarity analysis of bacterial communities in all processed soils showed that bacterial community structure similarity was relatively high in the same incubation time but no response to different content of three As speciations detected in this study. Soil microbial diversity was mainly affected by high content of As (Ⅴ) and the more toxic As (Ⅲ), especially in the mid-term during 60 days culture period. The changes of Shannon-Weiner index of bacteria did not show a significant effect at the concentrations of addition of ROX.
