Abstract:
      In order to assess growth performance of Pelodiscus sinensis in three populations including Huanghe (HH),Dongting (DT), Luka (LK, DT♀×HH♂ ), a continuous observation comparison test was carried out in outdoor pond aquaculture system. The experiment started from August 1, 2012, ended at April 15, 2014. Growth data of three populationsof P sinensis were recorded every 30 days except winter. Results showed that: (1) The order of growth rate was DT>L>KHH; (2) The best uniformity was Luka population in early stage, the order during young stage was DT>LK>HH; (3) There was no obvious difference in the back apron width of three populations; (4) The order of feed utilization was DT>LK>HH,survival rate was DT>LK>HH. LuKa was better than Huanghe while inferior to Dongting at growth speed, uniformity andaverage daily yield per 1 m2. Totally, Luka has obvious advantages and should be promoted.
