Flowering control locus A (FCA) is an important regulation gene in plant flowering autonomous pathway, it has been proved to be the conservative gene for promoting flowering. In this study, a conserved fragment with 434 bp was obtained from the methylation filtration library in Hevea brasiliensis, based on which the HbFCA gene was cloned successfully by RACE technique. The eukaryotic overexpression vector pXCS -HbFCA -HAStrep was constructed and transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana. The results showed that the transgenic plants flowered after 35 days planting, but the wild type didn爷t bloom, which revealed that the overexpression of HbFCA could promote flowering in Arabidopsis significantly. |
