Taking cassava cultivar‘SC205’as materials, the effects of micro drip irrigation on leaf physiological characteristics and yield of cassava were investigated by comparing three irrigation methods including micro drip irrigation, micro spray irrigation and non-irrigation. The results showed that compared with the non-irrigation, under micro drip irrigation method, the leaf moisture, chlorophyll content, soluble protein content and dry weight increased significantly, but the leaf soluble sugar content decreased, the leaf moisture increased by 8.99%, the chlorophyll content increased by 6.86%,the soluble protein content increased by 27.08%, the leaf dry weight increased by 12.60%, the soluble sugar content reduced by 24.48% and the yield increased by 85.07%. The result indicated that micro drip irrigation not only could improve water use efficiency to enhance drought resistance of cassava, but also could improve the photosynthetic efficiency of cassava, then promote cassava growth and root tuber yield. |
