In order to study the mitigative effect of γ-amino butyric acid (GABA) on Carassius auratus under transportation stress, 150 C. auratus were randomly divided into five groups including blank control group, experimental control group and three GABA concentrations of 25 mg/L, 50 mg/L, 100 mg/L experimental groups, with three repetitions in each. The venous blood of two fishes from each repetition were collected after transportation stress 0 h and 2 h, to detect serum biochemical parameters. The results showed that serum cortisol, glucose, alkaline phosphatase, total protein and K+ levels of C. auratus significantly increased after stress, GABA had significant mitigative effects on the above parameters. The results indicated that GABA had obvious effects on anti-transportation stress. |
