Eight high-tillering and dwarf mutants were screened from Cymbidium hybrids‘Lv Fei Cui’, some mutants’leaves were curly. All the mutants were compared and analyzed with the control (wild-type Cymbidium hybrids) by RAPD using 50 UBC arbitrary primers. The results showed that RAPD analysis was useful for the mutants, the polymorphism between the mutants and the control was detected by using 5 primers and the mutants showed more polymorphic fragments, which suggested that this kind of variation was likely to be caused by lack of chromosome. Further, different incised mutant had different polymorphic fragments with wide individual variability. |
