The paper studied the introduction and domestication techniques of three species of Gesneriaceae including Chirita longgangensis, C. medica and Hemiboea rubribracteata, rare and endangered medicinal plants in order to provide
reference for the effective protection and use of resources. Breeding experiment was conducted using cultivating rockery
and flower pot, by cutting and tissue culture for the plants, investigated the survival rate and growth characteristics. The results showed that the survival rates of the three species of medicinal Gesneriaceae were 100% in the experimental places. They could grow normally, blossom and bear fruit, except that H. rubribracteata could not fruit at top shadedby places. They could breed by cutting, seed propagation and tissue culture methods, and the cutting survival rate reached above 60%, rooting rate reached 100%. Cutting propagation is simple, has adequate materials and is easy to flowering and
fruiting. |
