In order to deeply understand the meat quality and provide basic information and scientific proof for better
heredity selection of rabbit, the complete sequences of exon3 and part of intron2 region in UCP1 of rabbit were obtained by
designing one pair of specific primers. DNA pools PCR and the direct sequencing were used to test the SNP site in Belgian
rabbit, New Zealand rabbit and California rabbit. The results showed that only one SNP (G387C) site was found in New
Zealand rabbit, and the polymorphism led to the changes of RNA secondary structure, its minimum free energy changed
from -917.51 kJ/mol to -927.12 kJ/mol. However, there was no SNP site in the other two breeds. |
