| The study analyzed the yield, growth period, blast resistance and rice quality of Jianyou 388 from the national regional test in 2010 to 2011 and production test in 2012. The results of regional test in two years showed that the average yield was 8 900 kg/hm2, 4.33% higher compared with you 838(CK); the growing stage was 159.7 d, 1.7 days longer than you 838; the blast resistance of Jianyou 388 was relatively well among the varieties in the regional test, obvious superior to you 838; for the rice quality, 6 and 3 indices were up to the first and second class standard of the agricultural ministry of high quality rice, respectively.
