Abstract:
The reasonable planting space for litchi selective nursery was studied by investigating the growth of litchi hybrids. The results showed that the litchi hybrid progenies were different in growth speed, and there were some differences in plant height, diameter of trunk, crown diameter and sprouting times between annual and two-year old hybrid progenies. The hybrid progenies with density above 70 plants/m2 were dense one year after sowing, and hybrids with density of 53 plants/m2 were also airtight two years later. The canopy of most two -year old hybrid progenies was 25 cm -45 cm. Therefore, the selective nursery should be divided into some zones according to the size of seeds, and the reasonable planting space for litchi selective nursery was 9-16 plants/m2, combined with the utilization rate of land and other factors.
