This paker was aimed to study the physiological response of Eucommia ulmoides seedlings to salt
stress, explore the mechanism of salt tolerance of E. ulmoides, breed salt-tolerant varieties of E. ulmoides. The
results showed that the rate of response and suffer symptoms of the salt damage of leaves continued to increase with
the stress concentration and duration. Plasma membrane permeability, chlorophyll content, SOD activity and proline
content gradually increased along with the increase of NaCl concentration and the prolongation of treatment time.
Increasing trend was not obvious under low salinity stress, was rapid under middle and high salinity stress, and it
began to decline when the salinity stress was up to a certain extent. The salt resistance of different varieties of E.
ulmoides existed obvious differences, JC159 and JC009 had high salt resistance, the salt resistance of JC119 and
JC144 was relatively weak. |
