Antimicrobial peptides(antimicrobial peptides, AMPs) are small peptides which are widely distributedb in plants, animals, bacteria, fungi and other organisms. They play important role in innate immunity. Bioinformatics methods were used combined with the two portals, ExPASy and NCBI to carry out a detailed classification of all mammalian AMPs. Moreover, their amino acids in length, the average hydrophobicity, transmembrane, signal peptide, subcellular localization and other features were also predicted and analyzed. |
