| CMS line is seldom used in rice breeding for its fair agronomic traits, but CMS line has such availablecharacteristics as being attainable and being easy to get hybrid, reasonable breeding strategy can make CMS line used in many rice breeding programs, including developing maintainer line by the way of development of nearisogenic line of CMS line, developing restorer line and inbred variety as a bridge to introduce japonica rice into indicia rice.
