In order to understand the resistance of adults in Leptocybe invasa to extreme temperatures, exposure
experiment and cold acclimation experiment were used to test the resistance ability of adults from different seasons to
extreme temperatures. The results showed that, L. invasa adults had both certain basal tolerance and induced
tolerance to extreme temperatures, and compared with autumn, summer bodies had higher heat resistance but lower
cold resistance, autumn bodies were contrary. Besides, cold acclimation experiment proved that long-term exposure
under non-lethal low temperature may cause chilling injure to insects. |
