Abstract: |
The technique of DNA barcoding was applied to identify three tortricid larvae intercepted by ZhuhaiEntry -Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in fresh orange and grape from South Africa. Using the primerLCO1490/HCO2198, the partial mitochondrial DNA of COI gene was sequenced and blasted with released data inGenBank and BOLDSYSTEMS v3 database, the results showed that the sequences of intercepted specimens weremore than 99% indentified with 20 sequences of Thaumatotibia leucotreta in GenBank and 46 sequences of T.leucotreta in BOLDSYSTEMS v3. The larvae characters were also described in this paper. According to morphologicalcharacters and sequence, the larvae was identified as false codling moth T. leucotreta. |
