Abstract:
The suitable screening indices of low -potassium tolerance genotypes in banana were studied bydeterming genotypic differences in dry matter and associated traits at the seedling stage in sand culture andpotassium-deficient sandy soi (95.2 mg/kg) cwtrue. Correlation analysis showed that the shoot relative dry weight, shoot K absorption amount and shoot K utilization index were highly significantly correlated with shoot absolute dryweight under the K-deficient media. The shoot relative dry weight, shoot absolute dry weight and shoot K utilizationindex were significantly correlated with the field yield in a potassium-deficient sandy soi. These results suggestedthat it would be an effective method to use the shoot relative dry weight, shoot dry weight, shoot K absorptionamount and shoot K utilization index in banana hydroponic sand culture experiment with The suitable screening indices of low -potassium tolerance genotypes in banana were studied bydeterming genotypic differences in dry matter and associated traits at the seedling stage in sand culture andpotassium-deficient sandy soi (95.2 mg/kg) cwtrue.
