Farmers cognition and behavior characteristics of low-carbon production were studied, and factorsaffecting farmers carbon production behavior were quantitatively analyzed based on the data from 216 farmers inTaihu Lake Basin. The results showed that Taihu farmers had high awareness on the negative effects on environmentby agricultural production. But in the real decision-making on agricultural production, farmers' actual behavior wasnot based on ecological considerations, was inconsistent with farmers, cognition. In addition, there was generallyinadequate for farmers to respond to the key low-carbon technologies. The empirical results showed that, education,non -farm income, joining agricultural cooperatives and agricultural training had significant impacts on farmers behavior on low-carbon agriculture |
