Abstract:
      The effects of five kinds of packaging methods(polypropylene film,polypropylene film withholes,polypropylene bag,polypropylene bag with holes and ethylene absorbent packaging)on storage quality andpostharvest physiology of fresh harvested sweet broad peas were investigated in this study. The results showed thatthere were evident differences of the effects of different packaging methods on the quality and physiology of peas,thepreservation effect of ethylene absorbent packaging was the best,it could significantly inhibit the color change,delaythe decrease of contents of chlorophyll and Vc,impress the increase of cellulose content,and inhibit the accumulationof malondialdehyde(MDA)content,therefore,it could maintain the high rate of good fruit and storage quality. Theeffects of polypropylene film and polypropylene film bags were better,polypropylene film with holes had the worsteffect on storage quality of peas.
