Abstract:
To understand the differences of soil dissolved organic carbon (DOC)/nitrogen (DON) pool and theirdistribution characteristics of different forest types in coastal terraces of Wenchang, Hainan, this study took theartificial promoting regeneration of secondary forest, coconut forest and secondary forest in Forest Ecosystem ResearchStation in Wenchang District of Hainan Island as objects. The results showed that the soil DOC, DON of woodlandmainly concentrated in surface soil, and declined with the soil depth increasing. The ratio of soil DOC to total organiccarbon fluctuated from 1.2% to 3.6%, and rose with soil depth increasing. The ratio of soil DON to total nitrogen was0.39%-0.86%. The soil DOC, DON contents and DOC/SOC, DOC/DON values of coconut forest were higher than thosein secondary forest and artificial promoting regeneration of secondary forest. Correlation analysis showed that the soilorganic carbon had significantly, very significantly positive correlation with total nitrogen, total soluble organic carbonand nitrogen.
