Abstract: |
In order to explore the toxicity mechanisms of Miefeiling,an effective drug for the Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus)population control, the activity change of acetylcholinesterase(AChE)and antioxidant enzymein Nile tilapia were detected after exposing to Miefeiling with the sublethal concentration. The results showed that, theactivity of AChE in the brain, gill, liver and muscle tissues was significantly inhibited after exposing to Miefeiling. Withthe exposure time increasing, the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)had no significant change in brain and gill, butsignificantly increased in liver and muscle;the content of glutathione reductase(GSH)decreased significantly in brain, but increased in liver, increased in gill and muscle firstly and then decreased. The activity of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)in the four tissues significantly increased and was the highest in liver. The activity of glutathione s-transferase (GST)rosesignificantly in liver. Results indicated that the oxidative stress reaction had take place in different tissues in Nile tilapia. The toxic effects of Miefeiling may be due to the inhibition of AChE activity and promotion of oxidative stress reaction inNile tilapia. |
