Abstract:
      Farmers’ income growth is a global issue concerning about“ agriculture,farmer and rural area ”in the western rural areas,determining whether the overall goal of building a moderately prosperous society in anall-round way can be smoothly achieved. This paper took Chongqing as an example,used a series of datas during1998-2012 for analysing the influence factors of farmers’ income grouth by OLS model and the stepwise regressionmethod in a econometric way. The results showed that farmers’ level of education,agricultural output,level of ruralsurplus labor transfer,and rural fixed asset investment in the whole society had significant effects on farmers’ income.Fiscal expenditure for supporting agriculture and urbanization level had no obvious effect on farmers’ income growth.Finally,this paper put forward some measures and suggestions to promote the farmers’ income grouth in westernrural areas.
