Empirical analysis on Chinese citrus’ global market power |

Abstract: |
In this paper,the global market power of Chinese citrus was measured by the model of residual demandelasticity in three objective markets including Malaysia,Indonesia and Viet Nam and comparisons with other maincompetitors were conducted. The results showed that the export of Chinese citrus had a certain global market power,butcompared with its main competitors,it’s not yet obvious. This paper also analyzed the reasons from the view of exportmarket share,export price and production cost. Accordingly,suggestions on how to improve Chinese citrus global marketpower and obtain more trade benefits were proposed. |
