Abstract: |
After western flower thrips(Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande)was found in China, the serious
harm has been paid attention. To evaluate the harm resulted from western flower thrips on peanut, the life table of
western flower thrips reared on two peanut varieties was established by the software of“ Age-stage,two-sex life table
analysis”. The results indicated that fecundity and life table parameters of western flower thrips were significantly
different, however the pre-adult growth rate was not significant. The female adult’s life span of western flower thrips,
pre-oviposition and oviposition on 11-107(16.50,1.71 and 8.00 d)were significantly longer than those on 11-104
(13.50,1.36 and 5.18 d). Oviposition amount per female of western flower thrips on 11-107(18.79) was significantly
more than that on 11-4(9.67). Net reproduction rates(R0) of 11-107 and 11-4 were 5.26 and 2.32 respectively,
innate capacity of increase rates( rm) were 0.11872 and 0.0612,separately. By comparison,11-107 was more suitable
than 11-4 for the population growth of western flower thrips. In other words, resistance of 11-4 to western flower
thrips was stronger than that of 11-107. |
