Abstract:
      In order to study the relationship between growth hormone(GH)gene and shank length and its expression regularity in chickens,the real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression levels of GH gene in different tissues of Gaojiao chickens,Aijiao chickens and Baiyi black chickens. The results showed that in the different tissues of one variety,the highest level of GH gene expression was in leg muscle. The highest expression of GH gene in the same tissue of different varieties was in Gaojiao chickens. The results indicated that the expression of GH gene was positively correlated with chickens’ shank length.
