Abstract: |
This paper investigated the impacts of different compensation modes on land-expropriated farmers’
satisfaction in China, using the survey data of three provinces distributed in the East,Middle and West part of China
in 2013. The results indicated that after controlling the economic and time effects, the compensation payment under
social security had a significant and positive impact on farmers’ satisfaction;while the effects of compensation under
cash paid in a lump sum and cash paid at some certain periods were not significant. Therefore, the social security
mode obtained farmers’ favor. Based on the results,it was concluded that in order to relieve the land conflicts,
raising the compensation standard was necessary, and respecting farmers’ opinions and promoting social security
were also important in practice. |
