Abstract:
Fuzzy identification and correspondence analysis were used to evaluate the water quality in Dongguan Eco-park wetland. The results showed that water quality was graded in the order:Yuehu-central water system > Dazhenpu wetland > Yanling wetland > newly constructed drainage channel > Nanshelang drainage channel > Xiasha wetland > Dazhenpu drainage channel. The water quality of eco-park was generally classified as below the Ⅴ grade. Among different land use types, the water quality of drainage channels was the worst, followed by the wetland system, and the central water system the least. The water was mostly polluted by total nitrogen and E. coli. The water quality was turning worse year by year, especial for the central water system with open water. Countermeasures including cutting off the pollution sources, reducing the pollutants and increasing the self-purifying capacity of water should be taken immediately to improve the water quality. The combination of fuzzy identification and correspondence analysis can be used as a useful integrated method for evaluating water quality, and provide information for wetland water quality management.
