Abstract: |
Diapause and non-diapause eggs were laid by the temperature and humidity regulation in the egg and
larvae feeding stage of 932 variety. Diapause eggs by HCl treatment were observed more visible eggshell cracks than the
control by scanning electron microscope. The total proteins of diapause eggs, diapause eggs by HCl treatment and non-
diapause eggs were compared using SDS-PAGE electrophoresis. Small molecular proteins below 20 ku decreased in
the proteins of diapause eggs by HCl treatment. The small molecular proteins were identified by shotgun analysis. The
ErB.1, ErB.2, ErB.3, Hc-A and Hc-B eggshell proteins were detected in the diapause and non-diapause eggs, but
were not detected in the diapause eggs by HCl treatment. It is speculated that the diapause eggs by HCl treatment may
cause the degradation of the five eggshell proteins. |
