Abstract: |
Liriomyza sativae is widely distributed and has a variety of hosts, its larvae cause mesophyll tissue and
plant damage, resulting in a serious impact on crop yield. To investigate the attractiveness of different color of sticky
boards to L. sativae,an experiment was carried out in cotton field by using different color trap boards, including yellow,
white,light-blue,green,blue,pink,grey,purple,red and black to capture the adults. The results showed that L.
sativae adults significantly preferred yellow sticky board to the other colors, and more L. sativae adults were captured
where the trap board was placed in the center of the field then other located positions significantly. More L. sativae adults
were trapped by the boards spaced at 160 cm above the ground level than those placed at 140 cm and 120 cm. However,
there was no significant difference in the number of adults trapped in each of consecutive 4-hour period from 7:00 am to
7:00 am. |
