Abstract:
A gene fragment of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase(HMGR)was identified from the transcriptome of Nervilia fordii(Hance)Schltr. and analyzed using bioinformatics. The results showed that NfHMGR embodied 1 563 bases and shared high homology with other plants, which was up to 88%. NfHMGR encoded an unstable and hydrophilic protein that contained 521 amino acids and exhibited a molecular weight of 55.34 ku. NfHMGR protein, which was assigned to 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase superfamily, embraced 3-hydroxy- 3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase Ⅰ functional domain, three transmembrane regions and none signal peptide and transport peptide. Secondary structure prediction revealed NfHMGR was a hybrid protein. And NfHMGR gene expressed higher in corm than in leaf.
