Abstract: |
In order to screen canna varieties suitable for planting in Guangxi, the agronomic traits and nutritional quality of local and introduced canna varieties were compared. The results showed that the plant height of‘ Xingyu 2’and‘ Xingyu 3’ were significantly higher than that of other three local canna varieties. The stem diameter, number of tiller, leaf length and leaf width of‘ Xingyu 2’,‘Xingyu 3’,‘Mashan canna’ were significantly higher than that of other two local canna varieties. There was no significant difference in stem node number and leaf number among‘Xingyu 3’,‘Xingyu 2’,‘MaShan canna’and‘ Pingguo canna’. The major agronomic traits of exotic varieties were relatively stable and the agronomic trait variation of local varieties was higher than that of exotic varieties. The yield of‘ Xingyu 3’ was the highest, which increased by 10% compared with‘ Xingyu 2’,and their yield were significantlyhigher than that of other local canna varieties. The yield of canna was significantly correlated with plant height, numberof tiller, leaf length, and leaf width. The fat content of exotic varieties had no variation. The starch and flavonoids contentof‘ Xingyu 3’ increased by 0.3 g/100g,3.2 mg/100g respectively compared with‘ Xingyu 2’.‘ Xingyu 3’ and‘ Xingyu 2’ were suitable for planting in Guangxi with good growth potential, high yield and adaptability. |
