Abstract: |
A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of nitrogen(N) application on the growth, yield, quality of okra and the agronomic efficiency of N. The results showed that the plant height, stem diameter and
leaf number increased first and then decreased with the increase of N application level. The yield and number of fruit
of per plant increased with the increase of N application level when it was less than 150 kg/hm2,but would decrease
if N application further increased. Appropriate N application could significantly increase the soluble protein, soluble
sugar and Vc content. With the increase of N application level, the nitrogen content of plant first increased and then
decreased, while the phosphorus content decreased continuously. Agronomic efficiency of applied N was the highest
when the N application was 150 kg/hm2. |
