Abstract: |
Pachycrepoideus vindemmiae Rondani is one of the important parasitic wasps in the pupa stage
of fruit flies,it is a good candidate for the biological control of flies. In order to understand the host selection of P.
vindemmiae, the“ H” tube and petri dish experiments were conducted in laboratory. Choices were made for the
parasitoids between Bactrocera dorsalis and B. cucurbitae pupae, the parasitoid of P. vindemmiae preferred pupae of B.
dorsalis to B. cucurbitae. It was concluded that the preference of P. vindemmiae was affected by different hosts, which
provided theoretical basis and technical support for controlling fruit flies. |
