Abstract: |
Two field experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of nitrogen fertilizer nitrification
inhibitor,2-chloro-6-trichloromethyl pyridine,on agronomic characters,yield,partial fertilizer productivity and
planting benefits of sweet corn. Results showed that application of 2 - chloro - 6 - trichloro methyl pyridine can
effectively improve the yield and agronomic characters of sweet corn, but the effects were different with fertilization
modes and sweet corn varieties, compared with the non nitrification inhibitor treatment, the yield of‘ fresh sweet
No. 5’ increased by 19.2% under single basal fertilization, and‘ hua mei tian No. 8’increased by 3.4% under split
application. However, the agronomic characters of ear length, ear diameter, barren tip length and rate improved
significantly. The application of nitrification inhibitor,2 - chloro - 6 - trichloro methyl pyridine, can increase the
partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer, and improve the benefits of sweet corn planting. |
