Abstract: |
To explore the extraction technology of polysaccharides from Kaite mango processing wastes, the
optimal extraction parameters were investigated by using orthogonal array design. The contents of polysaccharide
were determinated by anthranone-sulfuric acid. The results showed that the optimum conditions for extracting
polysaccharides in peel were as follows:extraction temperature of 70℃,extraction time for 2 hours,
liquid-to-solid ratio of 1∶25,and re-extracted 3 times. The polysaccharide yield could reach 6.62
(±0.51)% in peel. For the fruit embryo, the optimum extraction technology was as follows:extraction
temperature of 90℃,extraction time for 3 hours,liquid-to-solid ratio of 1∶20 and re-extracted 3 times.
The polysaccharide yield was 3.48(±0.40)%. The polysaccharide content in peel was higher than that in
embryo. These results suggested that extracts of mango processing wastes had potential value of utilization in
polysaccharide industries. |
