Abstract:
      Fruit cracking occured in many fruits,and many factors were related to it,such as environmental conditions,fruit surface characteristics,skin structure features,mineral nutrition,genetic factors and cultivation methods. This paper summarized the new research progress in water,gibberellin,abscissic acid,calcium and cell wall related to fruit cracking. The turgor pressure were affected by water,gibberellins and abscissic acid. The structure of skin were affected by calcium and cell wall components. The elasticity of skin was affected by relaxation genes of cell wall. Fruit cracking did not occur when turgor pressure,structure and elasticity of skin were balanced. However,when aril produced more turgor pressure against the skin or reduced the structure and elasticity of the skin,fruit cracking occured.
