Abstract:
      Samples of eight Chinese cherry varieties and nine sweet cherry varieties were used as materials, their introduction performances and chilling requirement in Lingchuan country,Guangxi were studied. The results showed that all the Chinese cherry varieties could blossom normally,but only Hongfei,Nanzaohong and Wupi could bear fruits normally;some sweet cherry varieties couldn’t blossom normally and all the sweet cherry varieties couldn’t bear fruits. During the chilling test,Hongfei’s chilling requirement was 377 hours,the rest of the Chinese cherry varieties were 305 hours;chilling requirement of Meizao No. 1 was 545 hours,chilling requirement of Summit No.2 was 641 hours,chilling requirement of 26:8-129 was 737 hours,chilling requirement of Meizao No.2 was 833 hours,the rest of the sweet cherry varieties were 929 hours. Only Hongfei,Nanzaohong and Wupi were suitable for development in Lingchuan county,Guangxi.
