Abstract: |
In order to obtain adsorption material with excellent adsorption properties for Pb( II),palm
was used as raw material, and its structure was modified by refluxing of potassium permanganate. The optimum
experiment was carried out by single factor experiments and orthogonal experiment. The biological adsorbent with
great adsorption capacity of Pb(Ⅱ) was prepared. The results showed that the optimum conditions of modification
were as follows:the reaction temperature was 60℃,the reaction time was 4 h,the concentration of potassium
permanganate solution was 0.08 mol/L,pH value was 3. Study on adsorption performance showed that,at ordinary
temperature, the maximum adsorption capacity of the modified palm by the optimum preparation process of Pb(Ⅱ)
was 85.84 mg/g in 400 mg/L Pb(Ⅱ) solution,which was 8.42 times of the unmodified palm’s adsorption capacity.
The results of dynamic adsorption experiment indicated that the adsorption process of Pb(Ⅱ) by modified palm was
in accordance with the pseudo two order kinetic equation model, which was a rate limited adsorption process. The
structure was characterized by Fourier transform infrared( FT-IR),the analysis of FT-IR showed that the strong
oxidizing property of potassium permanganate produced a lot of carboxyl groups on the surface of palm and increased
the adsorption sites,so that the adsorption capacity of modified palm for Pb(Ⅱ) was improved significantly. |
