Abstract:
      Genomic selection( GS) is an emerging approach of marker-assisted selection which aims to estimate individual breeding value based on all available molecular markers. It has broad prospects in breeding especiallyc onsideringthat many quantitative traits are controlled by micro-effect polygene. In this paper,we summarized the principle and methods of GS,discussed various methods for improving the prediction accuracy of GS based on its influence factors,predicted the future application of GS on crop breeding,and put forward an idea of constructing GS platform.
