Abstract:
Six-year-old mature trees of‘ Shatangju’ mandarin(Citrus reticulata Blanco) were used to investigate the fruit retention influence of summer shoots control with other shoot growth in summer, and the comprehensive benefit was also analyzed. Compared with traditional manually removing shoot to control fruitlet abscission( CK),the reservation of suitable summer shoot on the top canopy, can significantly inhibit the emergence of other summer shoots in the middle-lower part of trees, and the purpose of high efficient and cost-cutting can also be realized. Among these three summer shoots control with other shoot growth treatments, the preservation of ten summer shoots per square metre of crow projected area was the optimum scheme for fruit setting of citrus‘ Shatangju’ with high efficiency and low cost. Compared with the control, the amount of summer shoots reduced by 93.6%,the rate of fruit setting and the average yield of single plant increased respectively by 6.95% and 10.3%,and the cost of fruit setting reduced by 66.1%.
