Abstract: |
An ubiquitin-activating enzyme gene( CpUBA1) was identified in papaya genome by using
bioinformatics method. We analyzed the sequence characteristics of this gene, and also studied the expression pattern
of this gene during the fruit ripening of papaya. Results showed that the ORF of CpUBA1 was 3 459 bp and encoding
1 152 amino acid residues with an estimated molecular mass of 128.93 ku and a calculated pI of 5.49. PlantmPLoc
predicted that CpUBA1 was localized to the nucleus. The results of Real-time qPCR showed that the highest
expression level of CpUBA1 gene was tested in leaves, and its lowest expression level occurred in the female flowers.
The expression of CpUBA1 was up-regulated during the fruit ripening of papaya. |
