Diversity of fruit quality characteristics in Noni(Morinda citrifolia L.) germplasm resources |

Abstract: |
Twelve quantitative traits including fruit weight,fruit length,fruit diameter,fruit shape index,
edible ratio,juice content,soluble solids,titratable acidity content,ratio of solid acid,vitamin C,reducing sugar
and pH levels in 4 noni germplasm were analyzed by using PCA( principal component analysis)method. The
results showed that there was a significant difference in fruit quality parameters. The results of diversity analysis
have indicated that the diversity indices ranged from 1.76% to 41.61%. The correlation analysis showed that there
were significant or highly significant correlations between the fruit traits. The results of principal component analysis
showed that twelve quantitative traits were consolidated into three principal components. Based on the principal
component values obtained that comprehensive evaluation scores of yitc-N1,yitc-N2,yitc-N3 and yitc-N4 were
-1.00,-1.85,1.08and 1.76,respectively,which meant that yitc-N4 was assessed to be excellent in comprehensive
performance,followed by yitc-N3. |
