Abstract: |
This study quantitatively evaluated the influence of agricultural policy on farmers'income in eastern,
central and western regions of China by comprehensive correlation model. The empirical analysis showed that the
degree of impact’ was determined by the coverage and correlation degree between the policy and the income and there
is obvious regional difference. Farmers in central and western regions are relatively more vulnerable to the impact
of policies. Peasants' household income received from the agriculture policy in southern Ningxia mountain areas,in
northern Shanxi province,in Jiaozuo of Henan province and in Shaoxing of Zhejiang province were 695.79 Yuan,
1 179.94 Yuan,432.71 Yuan and 1 317.78 Yuan per year,which accounted for 11.5%,12.1%,7.3%,7.6% of the
peasants' total income . It is the higher level of income, the lower of the proportion. Low-income farmers were more
sensitive to the impact of policy. However, because of the low coverage of policy the current agricultural policy was
limited helpful to raise the poorest peasants income,It should improve the accuracy of poverty identification by the
national strategy of "precise poverty alleviation" and raise the coverage of policy in the poorest farmers group in the
future. |
