Abstract: |
Borreria articularis( Linn.f.) F N Williams is a common herbaceous plant used widely in tropical
orchard china in Hainan Province,The paper studied the characteristics of germination of B. articularis( L.f.) F.
N. Williams seed. Results indicated that:the 1000-seed weight was 2.28 g,the moisture content of the seed was
22.93%,and had no hard to cook phenomenon. The seed had primary dormancy, the dormant period varied. The best
method of sreak seed dormancy was that seeds treated with 150-300 mg/L GA3 for 24 hours, and the effect of soaking
seeds with hot water was not significant. The optimum temperiture for the seed sprouting was 30-35℃,the optimum
soil water content was 30%-50%,and the seedling rate increased with increase sowing depth up to 6 centimeters.
Therefor,it is recommended that soaded seeds priviously with 150-300 mg/L GA3 for 24 hours before sowing,
avioded low temperiture and excessive watering during sowing,it is also advisable to sowed seeds at the depth 6
centimeters and more, which was beneficial to seedling. |
