Abstract: |
Based on MODIS fire product data( MCD14ML),this paper analyzed the spatial-temporal
distribution characteristics of forest fires in Jiangxi province from 2001 to 2015 using mathematical statistics, spatial
analysis and information entropy theory. The results showed that the number of fire occurrence had an evident interannual
fluctuation, which were two peaks in 2004 and 2008. Forest fires varied seasonally, mainly occurred in winter
and spring;there were three obvious hot-spots of fire occurrence, which were located at southwestern Ganzhou city,
northwestern Ji’an city, and southern Fuzhou city. The spatial-temporal comprehensive distribution of forest fires
presented a high-level aggregation pattern. It could be seen that the occurrence of forest fires on the regional scale
was not completely random,on the contrary,it presented significant spatial-temporal aggregation characteristics.
Forest managers should pay more attention to monitor fires in central and southern Jiangxi province, where forest fires
were aggregately distributed. In practical, local managers should take various measures to strengthen fire prevention
publicity and enhance the people’s awareness of forest fire prevention. |
